mhm. Mhm. Hi, friend. Welcome to the social selling sisterhood podcast. I am Lindsay Dollinger and I have many titles. High school, Spanish teacher, dog Mom, world traveler and direct seller. I empower women to run your direct sales Business is the right way so you can earn the money. You deserve to live the life of your dreams and travel the world. Now we got that out of the way. Let's get started. Mm. Hello. Welcome back to another quick episode of the social selling sisterhood. Your best hip Thursday. I'm Lindsay Dollinger. I am the host of this show, and I also have a free group. Guys, that goes along with this podcast called the Social selling Sisterhood Squad. So make sure you check that out on Facebook. It's free. Get in there. We have our 75 day ignite challenge going on right now. Um, you know, even if you are listening to this much later than when it is actually airing, um, you know, you can still find those posts in there and do your own thing. So I hope I see you over in the squad. Um and I want to just share with you guys. So a couple weeks ago, I believe I shared some of the struggles going on in my own personal business because I am in the field. I'm in the top 1% of my It's actually a party plan company. So network marketing, direct sales kind of mixed together, but party plan, Um, so I'm right in the thick of it with you guys, and I had shared some. It was mostly mindset, but also results of my inaction coming from me being sick and taking a week of vacation off from my business and results that were happening. Or I guess I should say lack of results that were happening and I had been really beating myself up about it. So I had been looking at more things to do and different things to do instead of just going back to the basics in my business. And I talked to my coaches. Um oh, gosh, I've talked a lot about this, actually, but I really it was probably about maybe a week ago, or maybe maybe two sessions ago was talking to them about this, and they were just really encouraging me what I say to you guys not, um, to not reinvent the wheel, to not spend my time on things that are not moving my business forward and to just kind of put my blinders on to let myself naturally realign. You know, I'm in Ohio. Seasonal depression is a real thing. Not that I necessarily think that, you know, um, I suffer from it a lot, but definitely for sure. And then there's some burnout paired with lack of results. And, you know, things happen Where then I'm trying to overcompensate, and I'm putting all this stress and pressure on myself and inadvertently, I'm sure on my team, even though they're not, they're sweet. They're not saying anything to me. And so I really just started cutting some things out. I turned off my notifications of my messenger. I'm not as, um, you know, I don't even know if controlling is the right word, but that's how I felt. But I'm not answering every question immediately in chats I'm seeing if other people are answering them. Um, I'm not making myself available 24 7 to my business, which means when I am working my business, I'm being really intentional about it, and I'm doing something every day, even if that something is listening to a podcast to and from my drive or when I'm getting ready in the morning doing some connections, Um, you know, with new people with existing customers, some follow ups. But I'm doing something even if it's like, really short 10 minute blocks of time. And then I'm allowing myself. I don't want I don't want to say to back away from my business. But to definitely back away from the pressure I was putting on myself and backing away from all these all these new things that I was trying like. I know what works in my business and what works in my businesses. Connections with people, inviting people and providing excellent service, inviting people to try my product, inviting people to join my team. And then, um, you know, just nurturing that and then finding more people. So when you break it down like that and guys, I have not only felt so much better, I have felt more aligned. I've had more clarity. I I have felt while and here's the thing. My team has done better this month, and, uh, not to date my episode, I've actually done this a lot recently, but, you know, we have, like, a week left in February in February is a short month. So I came into February with the mindset and I encourage this in my team as well. Like, hey, guys, if we front load our month with not only our sales, but booking our parties and sponsoring more teammates at the beginning of the month, it will help us not feel the pressure at the end of the month. And I don't know if they listened. I don't know if this is paired with my mindset shift. My, um uh, why don't I don't know how in order, um, like loosening the reins a little bit, My not doing a million things and confusing people. Um, me not being quite as present in the team chats, etcetera. I don't know exactly what it is, but I think it's just an overall mindset shift, and my team has sold more in volume this month. Then, um then some of our best months. There's only one other months that was our highest ever that we sold more, and we still have a week left of this month, and it's a short month. So that's so encouraging to me, because even though even though maybe my own personal business is not quite where I want it to be still, Um, I'm getting there and I feel like my team feels it. I feel better about it. But I'm not constantly stressing over it and being overwhelmed by it and choosing those emotions. When I am choosing joy, I'm choosing gratitude. I'm choosing to remember all of the flexibility and, you know, the sisterhood that comes out of my my business and my team. The results happen. They happen, right? But when I'm constantly checking my back office to see what you know, what our team is doing or what I am doing, if people have ordered that pressure is what I'm putting out into the universe, and that's what I'm getting back and I'm not seeing. I hadn't wasn't seeing the results because of that. So I just want to encourage you. If you are in that state, talk it through with a coach, talk it through with a teammate. Um, excuse me. Maybe someone not even on your team and talk through those things. Mhm. Okay. Excuse me. Oh, and just remember to take some of that pressure off of yourself. And I think when you do that, I think when you remember to have some gratitude towards your business toward your choices, when you choose to be more intentional about your time and what you're doing with it, you choose to take your business back to the basics and make things more simple. You're gonna see you're gonna see a different level of results, and you're gonna feel really good about it. You might be able to hear the rain in the background. So anyway, I want to make these short sweet to the point four tips on how to do this. Like I said, we talked about this in my in the social selling sisterhood squad. My free community.
