Hi, friend. Welcome to the social selling sisterhood podcast. I am Lindsay Dollinger and I have many titles High school, Spanish teacher, dog Mom, world traveler and direct seller. I empower women to run your direct sales businesses the right way so you can earn the money. You deserve to live the life of your dreams and travel the world. Now we got that out of the way. Let's get started. Hello? Hello, everyone. Um, this is my first time recording in my car. I decided the busy, um, entrepreneur that I am that I could start utilizing my time wisely in the car. So I have this, like, clip on Mike that I've got and I'm recording with voice memos, so I hope the sound quality is okay. If not, I won't do e won't do this anymore. Eso Anyway, I just wanted to hop on here because I listened. Teoh A podcast last night by Fraser Brooks If you don't follow him, he is amazing. Um, he is out of the UK, I believe, And he is a network marketing pro. I believe he goes by the network marketing ninja. Anyway, I'm listening to this podcast. It was super great. It was about all about social media and how many times a day you should post and all of this stuff. And then at the end, he said, um, take action, Don't fake action. I'm pretty sure that was always a take action, not fake action. And my mind I was like, Oh, my gosh, that is That's so me. I so needed to hear that because I you know, I was even just talking to a teammate about this. She was saying, I'm doing all these things and so I'm coaching her through this and I said, So are you tracking what you dio and I have a tracker that I created? And it has helped me so much with my business because it allows me to see how many people I'm reaching out. Thio, how many samples I'm sending, how many parties I'm hosting? You know all of those things because it's super easy for us to think we're doing all the things or even to feel like we're doing all the things. But then when we go back and actually look at our day, are weak are month and those actual numbers to go well I probably probably could have done a couple more follow ups. I probably could have added a couple more Facebook friends. I probably could have, um, you know, made genuine relationships or connected with the relationships that already had with a few people. And to me, that's really what Fraser was saying when he said, Take action, don't fake action And don't get me wrong. I don't think anyone, um, like, goes into their day thinking like I'm gonna fake today. I'm not gonna actually do the things that I set out to do right? That's not what we're thinking, but I think it's probably more of, Ah, a mind trick that, you know, we get online and we're scrolling there, scrolling there, scrolling social media. And we think we're doing all these things for our business because we're commenting on some people's posts. Well, yes, that's important. You do you want to be engaging with the people who are your ideal clients who are on your dream team. You have to set some time boundaries for that, right? Like if if you only have an hour to work your business today, I don't want you scrolling social media for that hour. We have to be really intentional with the time that we have, which hence me recording this while I am driving over to my dad's house right now. And guys, there's only a 10 minute drive. So don't worry. This is gonna be super short. Um, but just be really intentional with the time you have. If you have an hour in the day and you have your business plan or you have your you know, your top three things that you have to do for the day, then you have an idea of what you should do. And if your top three things are booking parties, I'm just giving some examples. This isn't necessarily all you need to do every day or whatnot, but booking parties, meeting new people and follow ups. Then you either need to divide that our by 20 minutes and set a timer and do 20 minutes for each of those three things. Or if you're like okay, I have to book parties this month or, you know, bad things are gonna happen to my business. Then maybe your party invites are 30 to 40 minutes and your follow ups or 10 and you're meeting with people is only 10 minutes. So you really have thio know what you need to do? Um, prioritize what you need to do. And guys, if if you need help with this, reach out to Europe line, reach out to someone else who is familiar with drug sales with your businesses and ask maybe what you should be doing. And when they ask you to take an honest reflection on, especially if you say I'm doing all the things and they ask you to reflect on that stuff on on whether you actually are truly doing all the things you know to be honest with yourself, if you're only adding five Facebook friends a week is that really all the things? Probably not. You could probably add five a day, to be perfectly honest, because, you know, our Facebook cap is 5000. So So cap that out. Um, and cap it out with the right people. If you add some people and they're starting to post things and it's not your vibe, do you find them? Whatever. Go on, move on. You know, um, So anyway, I just wanted to share that because the take action don't fake action just really stood out to me. It also really hit home for me because I, too, especially the past week have gotten into the scrolling habit. And oh, yeah, I'm working my business because I'm meeting new people and I'm commenting on their things. Well, that's great, but that's only one portion of what I need to be doing. And I was doing that instead of sending my invites that I knew I needed to be sending and things like that. So take action. Friends don't take action, Reach out to someone for some help with what that action could look like for you and E. I hope you enjoyed this super quick episode today. Make it great. Bye bye.
