Let's get started. Mhm. Hello, everyone. Welcome back to the social selling sisterhood. I am Lindsay Dollinger and this is an episode of our biz Tip Thursday's, which are much shorter podcast episodes than I usually produced for you guys for Monday's So and these air usually car episodes these they're the ones that I am taping on my way home from work, usually on my way home in the morning. Let's be really like Thio. Absorb some content in the mornings by listening to other people's podcast in the car. Um, that is definitely a biz tip. I always listen to a podcast, um, like, on my way to work. At least one, it could be a short one or could even be part of one, uh, just to get my mind in the right like mode for work the same thing on the weekends before, especially before I start to work my business for a little while. I like to listen Thio someone else's podcast, a training I utilize a lot. The save videos feature in Facebook. So those three dots in the top right of a Facebook live video because I'm in lots of free, um, groups to get all sorts of content. I also catch up on my company's daily trainings that way as well. So I like to save them on. Then you know, when I'm getting ready to go to bed, Um, when I'm multitasking or doing something that I can you know don't necessarily have to think about like doing the dishes cooking dinner, I will listen to a video or listen to the training. So that is one tip, But I wanted to share with you guys. I'm recording this. This is on a Friday. I just left work. I'm heading home and I'm getting ready to go. Thio, the girl boss retreat that I am hosting along with my sister and I am pumped for it, and I just wanted to share that with you guys because it's always nice to have something to look forward to. So it might not be a trip for you right now. Or maybe it is. Maybe it's a trip for next summer. Maybe it's your company's conference. Guys, go ahead and plan right now to attend whatever company event you have coming up next or whatever. You know, team training if your team is putting on something and you are able to go in person, even if it's even if it's not, you know this fall or whatever. But maybe you know that your team traditionally puts on a retreat you can earn, uh, in the spring next year. Or like my company where our next conferences next July and it's in Orlando. Uh, you guys know I'm a huge Disney fan, so, you know, a soon as they announced that I was like, Okay, done and done room booked hotel already. Our hotel already booked, um, flight scouted out, you know, but because those are things that you want to look forward to, So I am so excited because there's some Ah, lot of the people coming today are women on my team. Not everyone Um, but a lot of them, the last time I saw them was on a trip. One of my friends who is coming The last time I saw her was when we ran the Disney Princess Half Marathon in February. Another one last time I saw her was at our, uh, companies conference in Orlando last year. And it was actually the first time we went in person. We shared a room. Oh, my gosh, Guys, it was so much fun. So you need to have something like this to look forward, Thio. Go ahead, start putting money aside, and even if you don't know when or where your next company event is on and I'm going to just call him our conferences, you know, I know Beachbody calls in their summit. Um uh, what else? Louro cause it vision. Or they did. At least when I went, I believe, um, so, like, ours is the color street conference. So go ahead and start putting money aside for that right now. Whether it's $20 a week, $50 a week. If you wanna have it all put aside by Christmas time, you know you do you You know what you need to do for your finances, but make sure to make that a priority because not only are they absolutely amazing on dure gonna learn so, so, so much and not only learning so much, but it's really more about the experience. It's about being there with people from your team. Um, maybe you're going by yourself. Maybe no one from your team is going. It's about meeting other people who are in love with your company. They're in love with sales. Um, you know, direct sales they're in love with I don't know what they're in love with, but you know, they have the same passions, is you? They have the same drive and desire, and they wanna learn more. Um, but they also have the same insecurities as you. So it's nice to be in a room of people who are like, Oh, yeah, I'm really nervous about doing Facebook lives. Oh, yeah. I don't really do parties because I don't like party, you know, whatever it is, Andi, that is something that it's nice to be around people who who validate that. Okay, um, anomaly that lots of times there's usually swag. And then there's lots of fun, like our last color street conference that we were able tohave in person. Um, you know, we had dinner included. I had never been in a company conference before where we got, like, dinner and lunch. And like, all the foods, um, but we had, like, steak dinners. It was like primary, But I don't even think I had had primary before. I'm not really a Beefeater, but it was really good. We got drinks like it was like the whole, you know, they did not put any stops on what they did to pamper us at this trip. You know, they're swag. Um, lots of motivational speakers. Like we had a dance night, guys. It was just so much fun. So having those sorts of events to look forward to huge, absolutely huge, and it also will help keep you motivated on those days or weeks or months. Let's be really you can have months in your business where you're like, this is I'm in a slump. It happens. It totally happens. But if you have these things to look forward, Thio, you're more likely to push through those and keep a positive mindset. Because who doesn't want to go like our team has already planned. We are. I got to Airbnb s there like a street over from each other. And like a condominium condominium area. So super close within walking distance, Um, and within walking distance of our convention. And I got him for I think it's for six days and our conventions only, like 2.5. So we are going we already planned. We're going to Magic Kingdom. We're going Thio Universal to Harry Potter world. And let's be really I'll probably also goto like Epcot because, like I said, I love Disney. Um, obviously not everyone on our team is gonna be able to join us, But some people are like pumped and it's gonna be fun is gonna be girl time. And that's what I'm so excited about for our retreat this weekend. We are mixing and, you know, work and learning and business stuff with all kinds of fun. Tonight, our theme is, um, Disney Princess. So we're watching the new Mulan movie tomorrow night. The theme is hocus pocus because, you know, it's October and I am also a hocus pocus fanatic. So I also have a fun little hocus pocus sweatshirt like it's gonna be all sorts of fun. So anyway, we've been looking forward to this for a long time. The date has gotten changed three times were like, No, it is happening. Third time's a charm on DSO. Everyone has already started, like driving down and there so pumped. And I'm just so excited to get together with a group of women who are not normally besties. Like a lot of these guys don't even know each other. And just to see the transformations in friendship in business in, you know, realizations with life, I know some people coming are wanting Thio switch careers. They're wanting to start their own side businesses, all of these things. And, you know, just the magic that comes out of an event. It's not replaceable. So I really hope you find some events. If not guys create them. I mean, I created this one right. I sat down with my sister. We've been to some retreats before. We're like, we can totally do this. Uh, you know, we're gonna put our own twist on it, and that's what we're doing. And everyone's really excited, so I'll be sure to update you guys, um, when? When this is airing, Uh, it'll be already passed, but, you know, I'm gonna put lots of pictures and things in my stories. Uh, check out the social selling sisterhood squad.
