Finances
Get clear on how much you're bringing in and how much is going out in your business. I like a Google Spreadsheet to keep track of my business expenses (that I then use for my tax expenses). Set time to review it every week or month.
Plan Your Time Well
I like hourly time blocking! I list out everything I HAVE to do--in my day job, my business, my appointments, my workouts etc. If it's not planned in, it's not happening most likely OR it will take me way longer to do it because it's not planned in. Find a system that works for you. If you haven't checked out my free training on getting back 5 hours in your week now, grab it here.
Branding
Now, you don't have to go out and hire branding done, get a logo etc. Nope! Not at the beginning. Just get really clear on your messaging and how you want people to feel when they think of you. The logo, brand colors, fonts, etc. will evolve organically once you get going! Getting clear on your brand allows you to attract the right people to you.
Connections
You have to find ways to make connections with other people to grow your business. Get intentional about where you can connect with potential clients and also where you can connect with other business owners who can support you and potentially collaborate with down the road. Make a strategy to start getting visible to people and messaging people to make connections.
Content
Pick a social media outlet and a place for long-form content and go all in on creating quality content.
Dream Team
Assemble who is going to be your support system: a coach, mentor, virtual assistant, accountability buddy, etc.! You need support to be successful!
Consistency
This goes hand and hand with managing your time--but show up to your business DAILY. Without showing up DAILY, people won't take your business seriously.
