Hi friend. Welcome to the social selling sisterhood podcast. I am Lindsay Dollinger and I have many titles High school spanish teacher, dog mom, world traveler and direct seller. I empower women to run your direct sales business is the right way. So you can earn the money. You deserve to live the life of your dreams and travel the world. Now we got that out of the way. Let's get started. Mhm Hello friend, how are you? Um It is lonely darling, you're here and I just got inspired and no, not by how you might think when you see the title of this video. Um but I got inspired originally from a podcast, I heard that spun this in a different way than I am going to spend it right now. Um but then also just with how I have been feeling lately and again, I don't mean this literally physically, but that all makes sense. It is sick. Um I just want to talk to you super quickly about. Are you constipated? Okay, so now what do I mean by this? I do not mean again physically, Okay, that is never the goal um but I see so much and I do it to myself and I have done it to myself in the past and I'm sure I will do it to myself again. But I see so often women especially and not always, but women especially that I know who are holding themselves back, who are stopping themselves from being their true self from letting it all out from letting it all go. You are putting a stop, you are literally stopping up, hence why I said constipated, but you are literally sorry, I thought there was like an animal outside my bedroom window, there's not a puzzler, but you're literally stopping yourself from from sharing with the world the amazing nous that is you, So I just want to share because this is something that I have seen recently a lot with like some really rock star, amazing women on my team. I am partnered with a direct sales company. I am also a business coach, I am also a teacher and I hear a lot of the women on my team are teachers and so when people are trying to master social media marketing, um, even just even just using social media for their businesses to attract the right sort of people to them and their business. I hear, I hear lots of things keeping people back my confidence. Um, if I'm a teacher, I have to be careful what I put on social media, which is true, which I don't think should be true. I think we are held to an entirely different standard than a lot of other professions and I do think it is unfair, but that can be a topic for another live video at another time. Um, but there are just so many things that are holding back, I'm judgment from other people, that's a huge one. And I have definitely been there, done that with my friends and family. Um I'm very lucky that most of my family is super supportive and a lot of my friends are very supportive, but a lot of people also don't quite understand, you know, I hear a lot like why do you have to put everything on social media or are you putting that on? Are you putting that on facebook? Are you putting that on whatever? Um and the truth is I do put a lot on social media, but I choose to do that. I choose to because you have no idea the number of messages that I have gotten from people who have thanked me for sharing things that I have put on social media. Do I put everything online now. But if there is something that I can share, if I can motivate people in some sort of way, if I can share my journey and my struggles and my ups and my downs and how I live my life with being a teacher and a world traveler and a businesswoman and inspire someone else that they can do the same thing to, then I'm going to share it, right? I'm going to share it. So I want you to think about that as the next time you cut yourself, being like, oh, I can't post that, or I could never share that. Or maybe you're watching a video, maybe you're watching a video like this um or I don't know someone who is super successful or someone that you really look up to um and you you think to yourself because I know you've done it, you think to yourself, oh I could do that, right, I can totally do that. So stop holding yourself back, get on. Constipated, right, let it all out, take out whatever it is that is holding you back. So if something is holding you back and again, I don't want to get to like gross analogy wise, but like that's not healthy, that's not healthy. So you need to find a way that you are able to share with the world or do whatever it is that you want to do whatever. I mean it doesn't have to be social media based, but if there's something, if you're really wanting to start a business and give it a try that you're letting that fear hold you back or you want to learn another language, you want to travel solo by yourself, You want to gosh, I don't know, change careers. Um start online dating, break up with something, whatever it is that is pulling at your heart, whatever it's there for a reason. And that might sound really woo, that might sound really religious, you know, whatever you believe in. Um but I'm a firm believer that if it is put on your heart is on your heart for a reason and it's up to you to do that thing. So if you really want to improve your business and use social media, but you're so afraid to go live, you're afraid to do a live video because you're afraid of what other people are gonna think. You're afraid of. That judgment. You really want to start a business because you've seen me do it, you've seen other friends do it, but you're afraid. You think you might fail? Stop letting that fear. Stop letting whatever it is, the judgment, the fear, the gosh, I don't I don't even know the lack of confidence. Stop letting those things hold you back from sharing, from doing, from experiencing from trying from going head first because I can promise you there is never anything that I have ever done. When I've been like, okay, I'm doing this, I'm all in that I've regretted, right? And even if it's something that I didn't necessarily succeed at in the way that I would have liked to succeed or achieved or whatever, I still tried, Right? And that trying is more than 99 of the other people will do. And here's the thing I back and when I started with my first direct sales, while it was actually technically network marketing company in 2015, I had heard about it for a while, right? I was watching, I was seeing other people. I even watched the coach that I signed up with and I was like, dude, if she could do it, I could totally do it. Um, but I was afraid of judgment. I was afraid of what people would think of me. I was afraid of the unknown. I didn't know how to do business, I didn't know any of the things, but I learned them and you can do and doing that scary thing of signing up, of putting myself out there, of trying, of failing, of trying again and succeeding. Um, was really hard. But you know what? I'm really proud of myself for doing it. And honestly, a lot of people say like what's something that you would have changed? I would have started earlier. I wouldn't have started with a different company. I'm a firm believer. Everything happens for a reason and I think I was put with the companies that I have partnered with for a reason and I got me to where I'm at right now. I got me a lot of awesome relationships. It got me so much education. Um, Like Lindsay from 2015 would never have done a video like this, like ever, um, ever, ever, so much judgment, so much fear. Um, but I really wish I would have started earlier because you know what, I look at those women who started earlier and who stuck with it and the income and the lives they have changed and the impact that they have made is just enormous. Um, but that's video for another day. So anyway, get un constipated, un constipated. Do the scary things, let it all out there. If it is on your heart, it is meant to be shared. I'm a firm believer in that and someone will benefit from your story. You just have to find the right people. You have to find your tribe. The only way you're gonna find your tribe is by putting yourself out there. All right, guys, have a good night.
