So I wanted to start off this episode with that super short quick episode. That's how I like to do the biz tip Thursdays and especially now during summer because let's be real, no one has time to listen to a 20 minute tip for something that could be done in like two minutes.
So this is your little bit of inspiration coming to your earbuds today and side note, I apologize for not getting these out in the past three I think, I don't think I've had one for like three weeks. Um, I didn't in all transparency batch them out early enough and then I got really sick the beginning of june and didn't have time to batch them out before I went on my Disney cruise. So I learned from my mistakes definitely better to plan further out in advance, but I was waiting for this is my excuse, I was waiting to hear from the gal, Courtney, who was doing the cover art and I was really focusing on the rebranding and I honestly wasn't sure if the biz tips we're going to continue or you know what I was going to do with this Thursday, I like the biz tips and I get really good feedback from you guys. So if you like them, let me know that. Send me a message, tell me if you like these super quick biz tips or if you'd rather me do like interviews or what you would like to see because obviously the show is about you, it's not about me, right? Um so anyway, I was trying to decide what that rebound was gonna look like, put it off and then by the time I had decided I had no voice and a fever and was not feeling well. So anyway, I apologize for not getting these out to you, I did get out those Monday episodes every week though for you, so hopefully that was enough to keep you going. So anyway, quick biz tip. If I stop if I stop talking and rambling. So I was listening to a Top Beachbody coach, her name is Julie Voris, I freaking love her, I have followed her for a really long time and she does a show in the mornings on her instagram called Energize live, give a shout out to her. So I was listening to her Energize live this morning and obviously since she's a Beachbody coach, she's super focused on health and fitness, which I, you guys may or may not already know, became a Faster way to Fat Loss coach in June. So that's obviously a big priority for me as well. So different companies, slightly different ideas, but same, you know, the same overall idea of improving your health and your wellness, your fitness. So she was talking in her Energize Live today and it was something I just really needed to hear. Like I know it, I'm sure you know it too, but like she was saying how improving your health and fitness going all in on, she specifically was saying your workout going all in on your workout and she might have said nutrition as well, to be perfectly honest, I was kind of multitasking when I listened to it, kind of like what I do with my podcast where I get the gist, but not necessarily every word, you know, but not that she's boring or anything like that, like I said, I absolutely love her. So um I was listening to it and she was saying, you know, if you go all in on your health and fitness, it's basically impossible for the other areas of your life not to level up as well, like if you want to see results in your business or relationships or whatever, put that effort in your workout, really kick your ass for lack of a better word. I don't think she said that, that's my words really go all in and because it's basically like, you're pushing yourself right? Like physically. Um and it's not just physical when you're doing a workout, it's also mental. So she was saying, go all in on that and you'll see the other areas of your life start to up level as well, because if you're going to match that intensity that you put in your workout in your business, your relationships, finances, whatever it is that, you know, you're trying to improve or you're really working on or you're focusing on. And it really got me thinking, I was like, well, because today I started my training program for the marathon, I'm running my very first marathon. Of course it's the walt Disney World Marathon. I mean if I'm going to put myself through running 26 miles, it's got to be a Disney world, right? 26 point to the point to matters, I'm told the 26.0.0. 2 matters. So I started my training today and basically, I needed to hear that for the kick in the pants for me to start my training because I signed up for this marathon two months ago, I remember the day I actually planned doctors appointments on that day, so I could take off work because I knew the cue to sign up for Disney races is always insane This one was actually particularly insane. It was like three hours of being in the queue because the website crashed and all of this. So you know, you have all this adrenaline and this excitement and belief in yourself and then that was two months ago and then since that time, you know, I finished out a school year, I got really sick. I've been doing a lot of traveling. I'm focusing on my business and not that help my health and fitness has not been a priority because it has because like I mentioned, I just became a faster way to fat last coach last month and have been doing those workout routines and that health and I guess nutrition program and making sure to get my sleep and water and taking all of that. So I've been doing it? But that excitement kind of fades right? And then you come to week one, which week one of my training program actually was last week, I was sick then too. And so I pushed off starting today. I listened to my body, I'm starting today. This ended up being a longer story than I meant it to be. So I apologize for that. Um, and so I'm coming to today And then all these doubts start creeping in like, okay, well, are you actually gonna be strong enough to run this race? Are you going to be fit enough to do it? This is twice as long as you've ever done before, can you run two half marathons back to back and just a lot of doubt? Honestly, just a lot of doubt. So I heard her say that and I'm like, okay, I get to make the decision today on day one of my training program. So if this is you and you're also working on your health and fitness, use this as like a direct comparison, but you could also use this as your business. Like, okay, this is day one of my business again, tomorrow is day one and I'm getting my mindset right, and I'm going to go all in and I'm going to be honest with you how I normally train, especially at the beginning and sometimes toward the end too. But I am very, I'm not a fast runner, I'm not a sprinter. My paces for half marathons have been anywhere between. I think my best one ever. My average mile was like 11 something and my slowest one ever was about 16, where we did a lot of walking. Um and that was a Disney one, I'm pretty sure that was a Disney one a couple of years ago, that was the slowest one I've done. Plus it was Disney. So anyway, when I train, I normally do like a run walk interval and it helps me get my miles up because I go a little bit slower. Like I always walk my water like water stops. I feel like that still has to happen. Um but I have found in the past, especially at the beginning if I start really strong in my training, my get quicker and I get more efficient and my body almost responds better. And it's also a mental thing when I'm walking last, I'd rather be steady and consistent then going really fast and going really slow, going really fast and going really slow. Um So today high did my run and I made up my mind at the very beginning that I was going to go all in and for me, that's not like the fastest. I'm not sprinting because I know if I sprint, I'm gonna wear myself out and I'm gonna have to walk. I knew when I have done the treadmill, that I wanted to keep a consistent pace and I was going to run the whole thing to really from the beginning, build my muscles up the correct muscles because it's different muscles running and walking or at least it feels like it to me because I can definitely tell after a good run, my inner thighs and my outer thigh like burn differently than when I walk definitely different muscles. So I knew that going in and I'm like, you know what, I'm going to take this attitude for my business as well, because showing up consistently, even if it's slow, you build up that that different muscle, those different skills than when you are like sprinting and then taking your foot off the pedal and sprinting. like you'll get there eventually for sure, you'll still finish the race. But I just think there's something to be said for like training properly, you know, going into it with the mindset, like I will do it, not going into it with like almost like a way out. Like, you know, if I'm having a bad day, then I'll allow myself to walk, not saying that you can't walk, not saying you can't take those rests, that break. Hopefully, you know that if you've listened to any of my shows, you know, I'm all about the rest and all about not burning out, but I'm just saying like approaching your business, approaching your workout, your routine or your new health habits or whatever it is with the mentality of like, I'm going all in and I'm going to do it the proper way, I'm going to get the coaching that I need, I'm going to get the training plan that I need versus like I'm going to try to do this by myself. It's almost like the word, try taking the word try it and that could be a whole other episode. I'm going to try to do this. No, I'm going to show up for myself and I'm going to do this because I signed up for it because I committed because I know I can because this has been on my vision board forever and I'm 35 years old, I'm not getting any younger, so I am running this damn half or this marathon come hell or high water in january and it's going to be so much easier if I start now and train consistently the way I know I should train than if I like half asked my training. Yeah, I'll still get done. I might be way more miserable though. I might injure myself. So just thinking about that with anything like I said with your health and fitness, I feel like a lot of us are on the health and fitness journey, like a lot of the time, which I think is a good thing, right? That we're so aware of that, but in your business too, I think we got to stop and I don't normally cost this much on here. So if you're listening and you're like, whoa, this girl, I don't know where this is coming from to be perfectly honest, but I think it's just like that fire in me after taking a lot of june off is like just stop half asking your business, have a plan, know what you're going to do, know how you're going to show up and just be consistent, show up for yourself because the only, well not the only person, but the main person you were hurting when you're not showing up for yourself and your business, your nutrition, your health is you, but then the other people are like your family and this is hitting me really hard. I just found out a couple of hours ago that my first boss at school, my first principle, I worked with him for six years and then he retired um had a fatal stroke and I just like he wasn't that old, he is the third person um that I have been, well the second person that I work with or have worked with, the third person that I know who has really know well who has passed away the last six months and they all were heart attack or stroke and you know, you never know if you can do anything to prevent anything like that, but I do know that I guarantee his family right now is thinking like is there anything that we could have done? Like could we have, and I I have no idea about his health or anything like that and that's not what I'm playing with this at all, but you know, I just think about that, about showing up like is there anything that we could do differently to, to, to tweak you know those outcomes to be the healthiest people that we can be, because if not like if something happens to us, obviously something happens to us, but it also happens to your friends and your family and the same thing with your business and we've talked about this before when you don't show up for yourself, who else is being affected by that, is it, your kids because they're you know, you have to go to your daytime job plus work your business and you can't just do your business full time like you want to, is it your spouse? Um is it like you don't have a spouse because you don't have time to date because you're working all the time? Like there's so many, like it's just such a ripple effect when we don't show up for ourselves, whether it's health, whether it's your business, you know, any anyway when we don't show up for ourselves, so what can we do? And again, this is way longer. I should have, I should have made this like not the quick business Thursday, I apologize for that. But you know, I just really want you to think about that. How can you show up for you today To be the best version of yourself? And I don't mean that you need to completely change all your routines. That's 100% not it. And that's actually one of the things that drew me most to the faster way program was every week, a small new habit was added and it's never all or nothing and I love that approach. It works really well for me. And so like what can you do? Is it going to bed a little bit earlier tonight? So you get that added sleep so your body can be rested. Is it ditching that diet coke that I know you're doing first thing in the morning for a water and you're not drinking a soda until later in the day. You know, small tweaks like that is it? You know, you should send an email to your email list and you're just going to bite the bullet and you're going to send that email out and it's going to be about your fun family vacation and nothing to do with your business but your business is linked at the bottom just in case anyone needs to order right a little side business. Um, but you know what one small thing can you do today to improve your overall mindset about your business, about your life, about your health and fitness because when we up level in all areas or one area rather we uplevel in a bunch of other areas as well.
Okay, so I hope this was helpful. Like I said, I don't want to make this too long. I love you. I appreciate you. Please send me a message. Tell me if you got any value out of this. Don't forget to enter the giveaway. Leave me a rating and review. And if you've already left a rating and review in the past. I appreciate you go ahead and scroll down and find it and screenshot it if you don't mind and tag me again in your stories and I'll make sure you get entered for leaving a review in the past as well. So sending you all the love, go out there up level yourself in some way today friend I promise you won't regret it and send me a message and let me know what you did. I'll talk to you soon. Bye bye.
