5 Lessons for Entrepreneurs from the movie, “The Little Mermaid”

Published on

This is part two of a series I’m doing on my podcast, The Purpose & Pixie Dust Podcast, on five lessons we as women entrepreneurs can learn from the movie, The Little Mermaid.

In no particular order, here are FIVE lessons we can take away from “The Little Mermaid”.

  1. Take risks to pursue your dreams – Ariel’s desire to explore the human world and be with Prince Eric pushed her to take risks and leave the safety of her underwater world. As entrepreneurs, we must take calculated risks to pursue our dreams and goals.
  2. Use creativity and innovation to solve problems – Ariel used her creativity and innovation to find a solution to her problem of being unable to communicate with Prince Eric. As entrepreneurs, we must use our creativity and innovation to solve problems and overcome challenges in our businesses.
  3. Find and leverage your unique strengths – Ariel’s beautiful singing voice and curiosity were her unique strengths that helped her achieve her goals. As entrepreneurs, we must identify and leverage our own unique strengths to stand out and succeed in our respective industries.
  4. Learn from your mistakes – Ariel’s decision to make a deal with Ursula resulted in negative consequences, but she learned from her mistakes and worked to make things right. As entrepreneurs, we must be willing to make mistakes and learn from them to improve and grow our businesses.
  5. Believe in yourself and your abilities – Ariel’s unwavering belief in herself and her abilities gave her the confidence to pursue her dreams and overcome obstacles. As entrepreneurs, we must believe in ourselves and our abilities, even when faced with challenges and setbacks.

Which one of these do you resonate with the most? DM me and let me know!
