Who is Jeff Sieh?
Jeff is an international speaker and visual marketing consultant. He’s best known for hosting the Social Media News Live show, where I was a guest a few weeks ago (if you missed that, go check it out)! Jeff is also the head beard at Manly Pinterest Tips and has worked with giants like Amazon, Guy Kawasaki, and Social Media Examiner. He’s always sharing and never gate keeps, so he’s one you want to connect with!
The Origin Story: From Websites to Social Media Stardom
Jeff’s journey in the digital world spans about 25 years. He started his career designing websites, those flashy ones from back in the day that took forever to load. This eventually led him into video production for clients and then into the wild world of social media. He began a blog and got hooked on Pinterest after hearing Cynthia Sanchez speak about it on a podcast. Jeff’s experiment with Pinterest led to viral success and, through a series of fortunate events, landed him roles with Social Media Examiner and other top names in the industry.
Staying Updated in an Ever-Changing Social Media World
With social media trends constantly shifting, Jeff stressed the importance of staying updated. He reads a lot using a tool called Feedly to aggregate content from various websites. His network also plays a huge role in keeping him informed about the latest happenings and trends. His advice: never burn bridges. When it comes to indispensable tools, Jeff swears by Descript and ChatGPT. Descript handles video and audio editing seamlessly, while ChatGPT aids in content creation. For images, he uses Midjourney, and he recently mentioned a new tool called Flux, which is open-source and free. If you’re not familiar with these tools, they can be game-changers for your business.

We also touched on the importance of attending conferences and being part of masterminds. Jeff believes these experiences are crucial for personal and professional growth. He mentioned a few of his favorites, including Social Media Marketing World and Ecamm’s Creator Camp. These events provide invaluable networking opportunities and the chance to learn from industry leaders. ## Balancing All the Hats Jeff does a lot—he’s involved in Amazon reviews, affiliate marketing, video and podcast production, and so much more. His secret? Hiring help. His daughter supports him with repurposing content. He also sets boundaries, such as keeping his phone in another room at night to avoid distractions. His advice? Find what gives you the most bang for your buck and prioritize that.
