⭐️ Meet Michelle Swan: Social Media Manager + Facebook Group Strategist

Michelle helps businesswomen create consistent connection with their audience—particularly inside Facebook groups. Why?

Because Facebook groups are one of the strongest tools for:

  • building relationships
  • generating warm leads
  • showcasing your personality
  • nurturing customers
  • and growing your brand without being spammy

Groups are community-driven and highly favored by Facebook’s algorithm, making them perfect for direct sellers and social sellers looking for a home base online.

🔥 Why You Need a Facebook Group in Direct Sales

If you’re not using a group yet, Michelle says you’re missing out on one of the most powerful platforms available.

Top reasons to start a group:

1. It gives your customers a place to return to again and again.
They can browse, learn, ask questions, and fall more in love with you and your products—without pressure.

2. You get to build your brand and stand out.
Your energy, your vibe, your style—this is where you shine, not just your products.

3. It becomes your backup plan.
Slow on parties? Burned out on virtual events? Run a mystery hostess party in your group instead.

4. You’re creating community, not just customers.
And community sticks around long-term.

🚀 Starting Your Group: Michelle’s Top Tips

If you’re brand new OR reviving a dead group, Michelle recommends focusing on these essentials:

✔️ Choose a smart group name

Include searchable keywords.
Make sure it’s compliant with your company’s rules.
You can even include your name so people know it’s YOUR space.

✔️ Write a strong “About” section

Tell people:

  • why the group exists
  • who it’s for
  • how it will help them
  • and what they can do (ask questions, shop, engage, etc.)

End with a clear call-to-action.

✔️ Be consistent with posting

There’s no magic number, but consistency matters more than volume.

Whether it’s:

  • 1 post a day
  • 3–5 posts a week
  • themed days (like #MannyMonday or #TravelTuesday)
…pick a rhythm and stick to it.

✔️ Schedule posts to save your sanity

Scheduling allows you to show up even when life gets busy.
Then you can pop in live whenever you want to.

📣 Should You Share Your Group on Your Personal Profile?

Short answer: YES. Absolutely.

But do it strategically.

Michelle recommends:

  • keeping personal profile sales to under 5% (or Facebook may penalize you)
  • posting lifestyle content that naturally ties your group or products in
  • tagging your group in your posts
  • even tagging your personal profile on group posts so they cross-share
(genius tip I’d never thought of!)

Your friends want to support you—just don’t overwhelm them.

📌 Do You Need a Facebook Business Page Too?

If your company allows it, Michelle says:
YES—but don’t pour all your energy there.

Your business page acts as:

  • your digital business card
  • the home for major wins (ranks, milestones, awards)
  • a place to celebrate your journey
  • a public page that shows up in Google search results

But your group is where the connection—and the sales—happen.

💫 What to Post Inside Your Group

Michelle says you can never offer too much value—as long as you’re not giving away paid content for free.

Share:

  • lifestyle topics related to your brand pillars
  • personal stories
  • tips
  • product education
  • live videos
  • behind-the-scenes content

Think beyond your company.
People buy from YOU first—your personality, your interests, your vibe.

This is where your brand develops.

🧠 Michelle’s Direct Sales Journey (And Why Groups Became Her Passion)

Michelle’s story is one so many women can relate to:

She left a corporate job she hated—one that literally had her crying in the parking lot—and decided to finally pursue what she loved: marketing and social media.

Through experimentation, courses, coaching, and trial and error, she discovered her real zone of genius:

➡ Helping women create community, visibility, and consistency through Facebook groups.

Now she offers:
Done-With-You coaching for new or struggling groups
Done-For-You management for established groups

Her heart?
Helping women save time so they can focus on building their team, increasing sales, and living the life they’re working for.

💡 Time Management Tips From Michelle

These are GOLD:

🕒 1. Time block everything

Family time, business time, self-care time—schedule it all.

🎯 2. Set three main goals for each day

These are NON-negotiable.

➕ 3. Create “bonus tasks”

These fill in extra time but don’t overwhelm your main priorities.

📚 4. Always be learning

Michelle listens to Audible in the car, while cooking, even in the shower (same, girl!).

Her recommendations:

  • You Are a Badass – Jen Sincero
  • One Million Followers – Brendan Kane
  • The School of Greatness Podcast – Lewis Howes

🔥 If You Can Do OneThing For Your Business Today…

Michelle says this is the #1 thing:

Create a call-to-action.

Not a pushy one.
Not a weird one.
Just a CLEAR one.

Examples:

  • “Join my group!”
  • “Want to host a party?”
  • “Comment ‘INFO’ to learn about the business.”
  • “Try this product?”

So many women don’t grow because they simply never ASK.

Your audience is waiting.
Invite them.
