Planning 2026 the Aligned Way: My 5 Focus Areas for a Bigger, Better, Easier Year

Published on

If you’ve been around the Passports, Profits, and Pixie Dust world for a while, you probably know this is one of my favorite episodes—and now blog posts—to create every single year. And if you’re new here, I’m so glad you found your way in.

Today, we’re talking about planning for 2026, but not in the pressure-filled, hustle-heavy, “new year, new you” way.

Instead, we’re planning through alignment.

This is about choosing a few intentional focus areas—not a mile-long goal list—so you can experience more growth, more ease, and more joy in the year ahead.

This post is part reflection, part strategy, and part permission slip to let go of what’s no longer aligned… and double down on what truly matters to you.

So grab a pen, a cozy drink, and let’s dive in.

Listen to this episode here:

Why I Plan This Way (And Why I Pivot Without Apology)

If you know me at all, you know I pivot. A lot. And I do it unapologetically.

That mindset comes from a deeply personal place. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 10 and passed away when I was 27 after 17 years of treatment. Growing up with that reality shaped how I view time, life, and alignment.

Life is short. Really short.

So I don’t want to waste time doing things that drain me, don’t matter, or no longer fit the season I’m in. At the same time, I believe deeply in the journey—using lived experience, growing step by step, and allowing things to evolve.

If you’re someone who pivots too? You’re my people.

And I want to encourage you to adopt that mindset this year in whatever way feels good for you.

How I Approach Planning (Hint: It’s Not From Burnout)

Before I share my five focus areas for 2026, I want you to understand how I plan.

I do not plan from:

  • Hustle
  • Burnout
  • Comparison
  • “How can I do more next year?”

Instead, I ask:

  • What worked this year?
  • What felt heavy or draining?
  • What brought the most growth, income and joy?
  • Who do I need to become to support my next level?

Your best year doesn’t come from doing more.
It comes from focusing better.

My 5 Focus Areas for 2026

These are the five areas I believe will create the best version of me—and my business—in 2026.

1. Marketing (Because You Can’t Be the Best-Kept Secret)

I say this with love:
If you want a real business—not a hobby—you have to market.

Not louder.
Not trend-chasing.
But clear, consistent, relationship-driven marketing.

In 2026, my focus is:

  • Simplifying my message
  • Being crystal clear on who I’m speaking to
  • Showing up consistently (not sporadically)
  • Building trust, not just visibility
  • Sharing more storytelling and heart

People don’t buy because you post more.
They buy because they feel seen, understood, and trust you.

Yes, I’m posting more. Yes, I’m repurposing more. But everything is rooted in intention—not noise.

Marketing isn’t about being everywhere anymore.
It’s about being intentional where it matters most.

2. Offer Alignment (Ease Is the Goal)

As you grow, offers that once made sense can start to feel misaligned—energetically, financially, or logistically.

In 2026, I’m making sure my offers:

  • Align with my strengths
  • Support the lifestyle I want
  • Deliver real transformation
  • Scale without burning me out

This means:

  • Refining what already exists instead of constantly creating new things
  • Making sure my offers fit my current season (yes, I still work full-time)
  • Bridging what people think they need with what they actually need—without feeling disingenuous

When your offers are aligned, everything becomes easier.

And who doesn’t want that?

3. Activation Events (Connection Creates Conversion)

I love activation events.

Whether virtual or in-person, events create:

  • Energy
  • Intention
  • Community
  • Momentum

In 2026, I’m leaning into events that:

  • Activate belief
  • Create clarity
  • Move people from stuck to inspired

These aren’t hype events.
They’re experiences.

I’ve also been experimenting with low-cost paid events—and honestly? Game changer.

The same people who show up for free will often show up paid… but when they pay, they’re more engaged. And I believe we should get paid for our time and expertise.

Activation events allow people to feel what’s possible.
And once they feel it—everything shifts.

4. Scaling My Travel Business (Deep Breath… I’m Saying It)

Okay. This one is big. And scary. And very real now that I’m saying it out loud.

In 2026, I plan to open my own travel agency—where independent travel advisors can join my team, be mentored by me, and build something truly aligned and supportive.

I love network marketing. It’s been a huge part of my journey.
But I’ve reached a point where I want:

  • More autonomy
  • More flexibility
  • More ability to support and train agents openly
  • Control over systems, commissions, and community

This has been simmering for a while—and between conversations, experiences, and very intuitive nudges—it’s become clear this is my next chapter.

Scaling isn’t about losing control.
It’s about creating support.

This allows me to serve more people, create more opportunities, and build something sustainable that doesn’t rely on me doing everything.

If you’re the bottleneck in your business, this might be your sign to think differently about growth.

5. Health & Personal Wellbeing (Because None of the Rest Matters Without It)

None of the goals matter if I don’t feel good in my body and mind.

2024 forced me to slow down after a serious leg and ankle injury. And while healing taught me a lot, it also showed me how easily health can become an afterthought.

In 2026, I’m prioritizing:

  • Moving my body consistently (weights especially)
  • Supporting energy through nutrition and supplements
  • Rest and recovery
  • Stress management
  • Routines that support longevity—not burnout

Your business should enhance your life, not cost you your wellbeing.

Your Turn: Plan With Intention

You don’t need 20 goals this year.

You need 3–5 clear focus areas that move everything forward.

Ask yourself:

  • What areas would make the biggest difference in my life and business?
  • What needs refinement—not expansion?
  • What version of me is required for my best year yet?

Your next level isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing what matters most.

If this resonated, I’d love for you to:

  • Share it and tag me
  • Send it to a friend who’s planning their year
  • Message me and tell me what you think about the travel agency idea (I’m still a little nervous!)
