Biz Tip: Simplify Your Goals For Clarity & Quicker Success

Biz Tip Thursday: Life Lately & Lessons From the Journey

Today’s episode is another Biz Tip Thursday, recorded from the car on my drive home from work—because real life is real life.

I recorded this the day before heading to Walt Disney World for Marathon Weekend (ahh!). If you’ve been listening for a while, you know how much time and energy I’ve put into training for this race. By the time you’re listening, the race will be done—fingers crossed it went well!

On top of that, I just got back from Madrid, Spain, survived the holidays, battled a stomach bug, and joined a brand-new mastermind. It’s been a lot—but I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.

I always share this because I want you to know something important:
I don’t believe in pretending I’ve “made it” or that the journey ever stops. We’re on this path together. I may be a step ahead of you in some areas, and you may be ahead of me in others.

Think of us as biz besties walking this road side by side.

Why Simplifying Your Goals Is the Key to Success

With a new year (or season) comes new goals—and that’s exactly what we’re talking about today.

No matter what you’re working toward:

  • A business goal

  • A health or fitness goal

  • A career goal

  • A relationship or personal growth goal

The first step is learning how to simplify what achieving that goal actually looks like.

We often put so much pressure on ourselves by focusing only on the big, overwhelming end result. But success happens when we break things down into manageable, actionable steps.

An Example: Growing the Social Sales Society

Let me give you a real example from my own business.

One of my goals is to grow the Social Sales Society, because honestly—it’s an incredible program, and I don’t talk about it nearly enough.

So let’s say my goal is:

To welcome 100 new members into the Social Sales Society this year.

Once that goal is written down, the next question becomes:

“If I were to achieve this goal—and I will—how could I do it?”

Then comes the brain dump.

Some possible action steps might include:

  • Sending consistent weekly emails to my email list

  • Posting weekly sales or value-driven content on social media

  • Having more intentional conversations in the DMs

  • Hosting a free monthly training with the membership as the offer

  • Leveraging and improving my affiliate program

  • Showing up and talking about the membership more often

None of these ideas are revolutionary—and that’s the point.

Most of the time, we already know what to do. We just aren’t doing it consistently yet.

Break It Down Until It Feels Simple

This is where I want you to pause and apply this to your goals.

Take your goals—or intentions, as I like to call them—and ask:

  • What are all the possible ways I could achieve this?

  • What’s one small step I could take right now?

  • What’s the next step after that?

The more you break it down, the less overwhelming it becomes.

And if you’re just starting out and don’t know all the steps yet—that’s okay. That’s where:

  • Google

  • YouTube

  • Podcasts

  • Trainings

  • Coaches and mentors

come into play.

You don’t have to know everything to take the first step.

When you go all-in on your goals—with the right support—you can create massive impact, flexibility, freedom, and income for your life and family.

Final Thoughts: Keep It Simple, Friend

Here’s your reminder:

  • Big dreams don’t require complicated plans

  • Progress comes from simple, consistent action

  • You don’t have to do everything—just the next right thing
