Meet Michelle:

With 17 years of classroom experience in education, Michelle has dedicated her career to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Beginning as a classroom teacher, teaching students in grades 4-6, she transitioned into a special education specialist role, where she worked closely with parents, teachers, and students to navigate the intricacies of special education services.

Her expertise included guiding parents through the special education process, contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and providing direct support to students in grades 4-8, focusing on reading, writing, and math.

Michelle has a passion for working with students with unique learning styles, skills, and abilities. She thrives on the opportunity to tailor her teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Known for her dedication and compassion, Michelle is committed to empowering students to reach their full potential.

In addition to her work in special education, she also has experience teaching all curriculum materials for grades 4-6 in a traditional classroom setting. This diverse background has equipped her with a deep understanding of educational practices and strategies to support student success.

Her business:

Today, Michelle channels her passion for education into her role as an online math tutor for students in grades 4-8, where she continues to make a difference in students’ lives.

She created “Learning with Michelle – The Online Math Teacher” in order to support students in a way that fosters success and a love of learning. She loves the flexibility that tutoring offers, allowing her to work with students in ways that are tailored to their unique needs, free from the constraints of traditional classroom settings.

Michelle has competed in triathlons and has had so much fun doing them!

A goal for her business:

Michelle would like to have a full roster of students and to bring other tutors into her business.
