Episode 239: Content Creation Hack – Turning Everyday Conversations into Content Gold

Welcome back to another episode of the Passports, Profits and Pixie Dust Podcast! I’m your host, Lindsay Dollinger — dog mama, Disney lover, high school Spanish teacher, and business coach on a mission to help women create and own their magic while building the business (and life!) of their dreams. ✨

Today’s quick Biz Tip Thursday episode is all about one of the biggest struggles entrepreneurs face — what to post when you’re feeling uninspired or stuck with content creation.

Spoiler alert: the best content ideas are already right in front of you.

Listen to the podcast:

✨ The Real Content Creation Hack

If you’ve ever sat staring at your phone thinking, “I don’t know what to post,” you’re not alone. Every entrepreneur hits that wall. But here’s my favorite hack:
👉 Create content based on real questions, problems, or comments you hear from your audience or clients.

These conversations are gold mines for content ideas.

For example, one of my clients — a math coach and tutor — recently told me about a parent questioning her pricing. Instead of getting defensive, we turned that moment into an opportunity to educate.

If one parent was curious, there were probably dozens of others wondering the same thing silently. That realization led to a whole list of content ideas:

  • A carousel post about what goes into creating customized lessons
  • A behind-the-scenes story showing how she preps for sessions
  • A reel about how she tailors each lesson to a child’s specific needs

Moments like these help your audience understand your value and connect with you more deeply.

💡 Content Ideas from Real Conversations

This same strategy works across industries.

When I was in network marketing, I made a list of the top 10 objections or questions people had about joining my team — and another list of 10 reasons why people actually did join.

That became an endless source of content:

  • “Why I joined this business as a teacher”
  • “The truth about earning incentive trips”
  • “What makes our community different”

Each piece of content spoke to a different person’s motivation — whether it was money, freedom, community, or recognition.

And guess what? People started reaching out because they saw themselves in those stories.

🪄 Your Challenge: Make Your Own Content List

Grab a notebook (or open your Notes app) and jot down:

  1. 10 questions you’ve been asked recently
  2. 10 common misconceptions people have about what you do
  3. 10 wins or success stories you could share
  4. 10 behind-the-scenes things your audience might not know

You don’t have to overthink it — keep it simple, conversational, and real.

Then, start cycling through your ideas:

  • One about your product or offer
  • One about your process or service
  • One about your industry or story

Soon, you’ll have a content library ready to go anytime you feel stuck.

To wrap it up…

Remember: if one person asks you a question, others are wondering the same thing.

Use those moments as inspiration to create educational, engaging, and authentic content that builds trust and connection.

You already have everything you need — you just need to share it. 💕
