2019 Female Entrepreneur and Empowerment Conferences

Published on

Maybe I’m an odd ball, but I love going to conferences. I love feeling inspired, learning new things, and meeting new people. I like how I can go to a conference and no one knows my background and basically I can be an amazing, confident woman with no insecurities. I recently realized a lot of the women influencers and business owners whom I look up to host conferences and weekend getaways for women around the US. While I haven’t been to any of these, they all sound amazing and several are on my goals list, and I encourage you to sign up for one! Grab your bestie or go solo and soak it all in. No matter what, you’re sure to leave rejuvenated and ready to take on anything.

She Did It Her Way Summit

This is sponsored by the creator of the She Did It Her Way podcast (one of my faves by the way), Amanda Boleyn. It is in April in Chicago this year and Amanda has divided the weekend into two days, one for for the Emerging Entrepreneur and one for Side Hustle Saturday. Find more info here.

Rise Weekend

The Hollis Co (Rachel Hollis) puts on Rise Weekend every year. The first weekend sold out so quickly that she planned a second weekend for 2019. If you can’t make the weekend conference, Rachel and her husband brought to theaters and recently to Netflix, their film “Made for More”, which shows clips of the weekend.

#BlogHer

It appears to me that this conference is divided into small ones around a theme like food, health, and content creation, to name a few. Check out their website and subscribe for updated because I know a lot of women I admire have been speakers at a #BlogHer event in the past!

S.H.E. Summit

There’s not information up on their site about the 2019 Summit yet, but again, the list of last year’s speakers alone would encourage me to sign up! It looks intriguing if you want to promote equality between the sexes and also motivate yourself for the year.

TEDWomen Conference

The TEDWomen Conference markets women AND girls, which I love. It is prettttty pricey and you have to apply to be accepted; however, being familiar with the TED brand, I’m sure it will be worth the money if that’s in your budget.

Direct Sales Conferences

If you’re involved in Direct Sales/MLM businesses, I really recommend attending your company’s conference. You’ll not only network with fellow women who do what you do (so you’ll have things in common), it’s also a great way to further your business and continue to develop personally. They always rejuvenate me when I go.

Check your local events.

I know in Columbus, the number of events targeted at women who are in business or who just want to live a better life has absolutely skyrocketed in the past few years, or at least it seems that way to me. Check out your local coworking spaces (especially if they’re female targeted) and see if they have events. There are a few near me in Columbus, Ohio, that seem to have events often: Haven Collective, The Nest Coworking, and Zora’s House. Also in Columbus, we have the Beauty Boost (who coordinated the Vision Board event I went to in January), and they host fun and at times educational events for the women around Ohio (and other states now too!). Other places to find events would be EventBrite and Facebook events.

I hope you can make it to one of these events, or hit up one that is local to you, if you’re interested! If you can recommend one not on this list, I’d love to hear about it below in a a comment!

XO,

Lindsay
