Momentum Comes from Community: Momentum Weekend 2025 Recap

I’m so excited to share my experience from this year’s Momentum Workshop! This annual event hosted by Lumen Jello has become such a special part of my journey. I’ve been going for four years now, and every single time I leave feeling renewed, inspired, and more connected than when I arrived. It’s not just about the takeaways or the business strategies, though those are always amazing. It’s the people. The conversations. The shared energy that reminds you you’re not doing this alone. This year was no different. I walked away with fresh insights, meaningful connections, and a deeper appreciation for what it means to find your tribe and show up in person. Let’s dive into some of the stories and lessons that made this year’s workshop one I’ll never forget.

Understanding the Magic of In-Person Events

Before getting back to Momentum, there’s always a sense of anticipation. It usually hits in mid-October—when the freshness of the year has worn off, and routine starts to lull you into comfort. Attending a live event like Momentum is a powerful reset button. It’s essential to step out of your day-to-day scene, mix it up with people who inspire you, and rekindle that fire for your business.

A Tale of Sticky Notes and Dreams

Lou, our event host, encourages participants to put up sticky notes on a dream board. One dream of mine is to live at Disney’s exclusive community, Golden Oak. It’s a lofty dream—literally gated and multimillion-dollar—but worth dreaming about! On arrival, a fellow participant invited me to visit their home in Golden Oak, offering a glimpse into what I might strive towards. This opportunity didn’t just validate my dreams but made them tangible and real.

It’s a Small World After All

Another memorable moment was reconnecting with distant relatives at the workshop. A woman and her son, sharing my mother’s maiden name, turned out to be linked to my family tree. Despite generations of living in different states, our paths crossed in this enriching environment, reminding me of the unexpected connections we can make.

Giving and Receiving: The Reciprocity Loop

A key takeaway this year was the virtue of giving. Whether it’s sharing your knowledge, offering help, or even mailing a colleague a book they might find useful—what you put out into the world will find a way back to you. This communal spirit was alive in our Table Talks, and it’s a vibe I continue to foster and believe in strongly.

The Power of Accountability

An essential ingredient for success is accountability. Be it through paid groups, peer networks, or personal mentors, having someone to keep you on track can propel you forward. But remember, it’s vital to find people who are honest and agree with you, only when it serves your true purpose.

Embrace Reality and Maintain Balance

Momentum offers a refreshing balance, sharing the highs and challenges of entrepreneurship openly. This environment inspires real talk—authentic discussions about what’s working and what’s not. It also challenges us to act, to stop overthinking, and to do the things we know are necessary to reach our goals.

Act Now: Your Dreams are Worth It

Remind yourself that you have everything you need to succeed. Whether it’s investing in a coach or finally launching your website, take that leap! Our dreams demand action, and there’s no better time than now.

Recharging: Find What Fills Your Cup

To wrap up, make sure to recharge. Whether it’s a workshop, a weekend getaway, or a solo retreat, replenish that energy. That’s what Momentum does for me, and I’ll be hosting my own business retreat at Disney soon! Join me if you want to experience this transformative magic firsthand.

I left this year’s Momentum Workshop with my heart overflowing — reminded of the power of connection, community, and showing up for yourself. Sometimes all it takes is being in the right room with the right people to remember who you are and what you’re capable of. Here’s to carrying that energy forward and continuing to create, grow, and shine.
