Your Daily Method of Operations: The #1 Way to Build Massive Momentum in Your Direct Sales Business
Hi, friend! Welcome back to the Passports, Profits and Pixie Dust community. I’m Lindsay Dollinger—high school Spanish teacher, dog mom, world traveler, and direct seller—and I’m here to help women run their direct sales businesses the right way so you can earn more, grow confidently, and create the life you dream of… including the freedom to travel whenever you want.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way… let’s dive in.
Listen in to this episode of the podcast here:
✨ It’s a New Month—Are You On Track?
We’re officially one week into November, and I want to ask you something:
Are you where you want to be with your goals?
If yes—amazing! Keep going.
If not—that’s okay, too. But now’s the time to get honest with yourself:
- What’s holding you back?
- What have you actually been doing in your business each day?
- Are you moving the needle forward, or staying busy without making progress?
If you feel like you’re “working your business constantly” but not seeing results… then it’s time to look at your Daily Method of Operations (DMO).
This is one of the biggest places direct sellers get stuck—not because they don’t want success, but because they don’t have a clear, focused system.
Let’s fix that today.
📋 What Is a Daily Method of Operations (DMO)?
Your DMO is your personal business checklist—the core tasks you do every single day to grow your business.
It’s not random scrolling.
It’s not endlessly creating graphics.
It’s not “researching ideas” for hours.
Your DMO is intentional, income-producing activity.
And if you don’t already have a DMO you love and use consistently, don’t worry—I created a free downloadable checklist for you right here:

Let’s break it all down together.
⭐️ Your Core Daily Activities
These are the non-negotiables that build real, long-term growth in your direct sales business.
1. Show Up on Social Media Daily
Make one high-quality post per day on your main platforms.
This should be value-packed:
- educational
- inspiring
- entertaining
- helpful
- related to your brand pillars
Not memes. Not politics. Not random shares.
Prime posting times:
✔️ Early morning
✔️ Lunchtime
✔️ Early evening
✔️ Right before bed
And yes—Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok… wherever your people are.
2. Post Consistently in Your Stories
Stories can be casual, fun, behind-the-scenes, real-life moments.
Share as much as you want—stories are where connection happens.
3. Schedule Your Group Content
If you have a VIP or customer group, batch-schedule your posts once a week.
Don’t wait until the last minute—future you will thank you!
4. Schedule Your Party Posts (if party plan)
Take a dedicated strategy hour each week to schedule party content in advance.
5. Respond to All Comments
Engagement is queen.
When someone comments, reply! It helps the algorithm AND builds relationships.
6. Meaningfully Engage on Other People’s Posts
Set a timer (always set a timer) and engage intentionally:
- 15 minutes love bombing
- 15 minutes nurturing dream customers
- 15 minutes connecting with potential team members
Think conversation—not spam.
7. Follow Up
Follow-up is everything.
I personally do mine on Follow-Up Fridays, but you can choose whatever day works for you.
Follow up on:
✔️ Customer orders
✔️ Samples
✔️ Conversations
✔️ Messages you’ve left hanging
✔️ Prospects who showed interest
8. Prospect Daily
Yes, daily.
If you’re not intentionally inviting people into your business or showing them the opportunity, you’re leaving money on the table and delaying your growth.
Your business opportunity is another product you offer. Treat it that way.
9. Check In With Your Team
But remember this rule:
80% of your business time = your business
20% = your team
Your team is not your business.
You still need to grow your personal sales and influence.
That said… scheduled team time is powerful. I run:
- a weekly power hour
- weekly accountability calls
- ongoing coaching
Pay attention to who shows up:
Those are your real leaders.
10. Send Happy Birthday Messages
Simple, kind, effective.
Plus, it often leads to meaningful conversations—and sometimes sales!
11. Make Your DMO Part of Your Routine
Habits make your business easier.
Studies show that 40–45% of daily decisions are purely habit-based.
So if your DMO becomes part of your routine, it stops feeling like work.
You just do it.
12. Time-Block Your Business
I use hour-by-hour time blocking (with my Direct Sales Done Right Planner & Tracker).
Within an hour, I often split the work like this:
- 20 minutes love bombing
- 20 minutes inviting
- 20 minutes follow-ups
Timers are your best friend.
They keep you from getting sucked into the scroll vortex.
13. Listen to Personal Development Daily
Every day. No exceptions.
Listen while you:
- drive
- clean
- cook
- walk
- shower
- pack orders
Personal development grows your mindset, skillset, and confidence.
It is fuel for your business.
